How to Reach

Entebbe International Airport lies about forty kilometres south. Thanks to the Kampala Entebbe Expressway, the trip can take around forty five minutes to an hour, though the final city section depends on traffic. The expressway has a toll, and the hotel offers airport transfers.

Within Kampala, traffic is the biggest challenge. Rush hours in the morning and late afternoon bring long jams. Uber and Bolt operate cars and motorbikes, and the hotel can arrange drivers for longer trips.

Boda bodas, motorbike taxis, are fast and everywhere but carry real accident risk. If using them, choose app based services that provide helmets, and avoid riding at night.

Jinja and the source of the Nile are about eighty kilometres east, two to three hours by road depending on traffic. Rafting, kayaking and boat trips on the Nile make a popular day or overnight trip.

Longer safaris to Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth National Park or Bwindi for gorilla trekking start from Kampala by road or by domestic flights from Entebbe and Kajjansi airfield. Permits for gorilla trekking must be booked months in advance.
